A real journey this week as we kick off with a couple of Lee “Scratch” Perry tunes, followed by some Yabby You grooves. \u00a0Classic reggae all the way. \u00a0The vibe amps up with Brian Eno & David Byrne’s “Regiment” – off one of the first albums to heavily feature samples as lead vocals. \u00a0Is there anything Eno didn’t pioneer? \u00a0The assault continues with African Head Charge leading the way. \u00a0Part two sees us taking the vibe down several notches as we enter the heady atmosphere and soft flutes of Shpongle’s “Flute Fruit”. \u00a0An Oud Improvisation running through some heavy reverb floats us across the musical ether as we slowly build up a groove and bounce our way to the finish, ending the set with an onsite recording of an Islamic call to prayer.<\/p>\n
